New WhatsApp Image Blur Tool
According to reports, WhatsApp, the classic meta-owned communication software, is currently bringing a blur feature for PC beta users. In their picture editors, beta users will now have access to a new feature that will allow them to blur out any private information they would want to keep hidden before transmitting an image, according to a report from WABetaInfo.
A few months ago, WhatsApp Web and the desktop app both received photo editing features that were previously exclusive to the mobile app.
In June 2022, WABetaInfo disclosed that a desktop version of an image blurring function was being created. Currently, the same update is being pushed to WhatsApp Desktop Beta.
According to the source, WhatsApp now offers users the choice of blurring an image entirely or, for more control, simply partially.
Users can attempt sending a picture to see if a potential "blur button" is displayed on the sketching tool to determine whether they have gotten the update or not. The update is now in beta, with a later date set for the start of a wider roll out.
